Holy shit

... Today I was extra super braindead and strangely crappy-feeling before breakfast. After the first two or three spoons of oats, the change was near magical. :| I am probably more amazed than I should be. But god damn it's good to be awake. XD

Week 2 of the competition!

  • Nov. 10th, 2009 at 6:21 PM
The ZUDA.com competition is still running, and if you haven't had the time to take a look, ~please~ do! IN MAPS & LEGENDS is only a short 8 pages, with the potential for a sprawling ride ahead-- but only if we win! You can only vote until the end of November.

Maps play a big part in this story, with the most prominent one carved into the walls of Kait's apartment... so I put together a quick promotional pin-up of our lead girl, tools in hand.

MapsKait

It's currently week two of the competition, and so far IN MAPS & LEGENDS has survived the two rankings updates so far! There's still close to three weeks left to vote, however, so we could easily be shaken off our rather precarious perch. If you haven't already, click your way over to the comic's Zuda page and sign up & vote!

If you're confused, take a look at the visual guide to the Zuda site I linked to last time. ^^

Don't forget: Vote, Rate, Fave and Comment! I want to know what you think!

Annual Christmas Card Post

  • Nov. 10th, 2009 at 3:10 PM
It's that time again! Time forrrr...

CHRISTMAS CARDS!

If you're on my flist, or I'm on yours, or you're just a casual watcher, I want to send you a Christmas card! I usually make two different kinds of cards: a Kingdom Hearts Holiday card, and a normal (non-fandom) Christmas card. So just comment here with 1) which kind of card you'd like, and 2) your name and address so I know where to mail things to.

Comments are screened so no one else sees your address. Have at it!

A good day.

.

Girl-doctor (who is actually a man) appointment: Acquired. (Hopefully he will figure out what is wrong with my back and legs. I've never met the man. Mother trusts him, though. I think he's the one who delivered me.)

Arthurfic: 20000 words and counting. Part three should be up tomorrow if I play my cards right.

Wednesdays: secured at other job, to make up for the one I quit.

Rehearsal today for Pirates: in Merrick! And I have the car!

And the clincher: I have an audition for Aldeburgh. (Probably going to sing some Handel and some Mozart and I don't know what I'm doing for a slow piece, but I have to print out Non Disperar and not think about pilates at the same time.

Today: Doesn't suck.

Scripts

  • Nov. 10th, 2009 at 11:02 AM

People often ask me what comics scripts look like — or, at least, what my comics scripts look like, as there is no industry standard for comics scriptwriting. I have a few scripts up here on the site, and you’re welcome to download them. I write in OpenOffice and save in RTF. Beginning writers may find it instructive to compare the scripts with the published work.

(Please, don’t ask to be shown other scripts instead. These are the ones I have available. Okay?)

MINISTRY OF SPACE #1.

DESOLATION JONES #1.

DESOLATION JONES #7.

(Yes, JONES will be back one day.)

FELL #1.

(And so will FELL.)

Way to go, Gordis.

I've always been disappointed by Concertación governments, since their so called center-left "liberal" ways are usually a cover-up of more right-wing politics. But this is too much.

Article in Spanish

Michelle Bachelet is giving the army to a general well known by his participation in crimes against Human Rights during the Chilean dictatorship. WTF.

Let's review this. Our president is an (allegedly) socialist woman, was tortured and sent to exile by the dictatorship, had her family split and her father murdered by the army.

And she's appointing a man who participated in the Caravana de la Muerte as the new Commander in Chief of the Chilean Army.

I don't even know anymore.
